Child Care Experience
I am first aid certified. I took care of Abraham (8mths) from July 2021 until February 2022. I supported him in the growth process, bathed him, washed his clothes, cooked and did basic duties. Between January 2019 and December 2020, I cared for Cristina (2) for 6 hours a day, 4 times a week. I ensured her safety, prepared food, showered her, put her to sleep and did recreational activities. Between February and December 2022, I cared for Ambar (3). I took her swimming, established her daily routine, made her food, put her to sleep, bathed her, did drawing and painting with her.

I want to participate in the au pair program. I believe this experience will provide me with invaluable perspective and allow me to develop my intercultural skills and learn the language. From May 2023 to present, I take care of Lennard (3) and Lily (7) every three weeks. I care for the children, change diapers, prepare food and help change their clothes. From June 2023 to present, I take care of Louise (2) for four hours, once a month. I play, prepare food and do activities with the child. From December 2021 to October 2022, I took care of Joanna (1) and Leevke (2) twice a week. I played with the children in the house and in the garden, helped the children get dressed, prepared food, read books and put the children to sleep.

I want to be an au pair exchange program participant in the USA because I love to see kids learn something new und grow up every day. I cared for Emilia (7) from January 2018 to February 2022. My responsibilities included cooking (breakfast and lunch), helping with her homework, helping her bathe, doing her hair for school and picking her up from school. From February to September 2021, I cared for Romina (6). I prepared her lunch, took her to school, picked her up from school and helped with her homework. Additionally, I cared for Matias (7) from February to November 2023. I was picking him up from school, taking him to his guitar classes and picking him up.

I want to participate in this program for many reasons! When i was 15 I had the opportunity to travel to the US and I loved the culture, the kindness of the people, the food, and I think that experience changed my mind for the better, and I would love to come back to the US to learn more about the culture in general, to be able to experience and see new things. It is such a nice country with beautiful places, natural wonders, and amazing people! I consider myself qualified to participate in this program because I have an verifiable experience in taking care of children, I´m patient, I´m a good listener, not only with kids but with people in general. I´m outgoing, so I love to make new friends. I'm such a family girl and one of my goals is not only be an Au Pair but one more member of the family!

From August 2017 to March 2019, I cared for Nashla (8 months). I fed her, changed her diapers, gave her medicine when she was sick. I played with her, organized her room and I did some house roles like do the dishes, mop the floor etc. From June 2020 to November 2021, I cared for Roldan (9 months). I prepared his meals, changes his clothes and diapers, I gave him food, played with him and kept him clean. From May 2023 to February 2024, I cared for Amy (9 months). I took care of her, fed her, changed diapers and gave her medicine when she was sick. I also did everything related to cleaning.

I would like to participate in this program because I would like to improve my English, have new experiences in a different country from mine, to know about different culture, meet new places also new people and I think the main reason would be because I really like what I will do there. I consider that I'm qualified to do the program because I have the required experience and above all, I'm a responsible, honest and completely dedicated to all what I do.

Since January 2014, I've looked after a group of children ages 2 to 12 years old. I do activities with the children, supervise them and prepare meals for them. I volunteered at my church from March 2021 to April 2024 leading youth groups. I had supportive conversation with the teenagers, talking about their everyday life, prepared snacks with them and played with them. I've looked after my younger sister, Sigrid (10), since she was a toddler. I pick her up from school, prepare meals, bath her, do chores with her, help with homework and put her to bed. Finally, I looked after Harald (2) in October 2022. I changed diapers, prepared meals, played with him and comforted him when needed.

I want to become an au pair since I love children and taking care of children has always been a part of my everyday life. Both from caring for my sister but also being involved in children's groups in church the past 10 years. Children gives such a joy and warmness to me. My brother is an au pair right now and has been a big inspiration to discover the US. From March to August 2022, I babysat Yoel (5) three days a week. I gave him food, bathed him, took him to school and cleaned his room. From March 2020 to January 2022, I looked after Reynolds (8) and Alejandra (10) for five hours, three days a week. I helped with homework, did laundry, played and put them to sleep. From February to September 2022, I took care of Anabella (4) for five hours, five days a week. I prepared meals, played, gave her baths and cleaned after her.

I really enjoy being around children, take care of them, and share quality times with them so when I found out that as an Aupair I can do that and also learn a new culture and improve my English speaking skills, I thought it was perfect. Having spent a year and a half with a family and the fact that most of that time was during quarantine makes me improve creative my skills, because I had to do things new every time so that the children would not feel in a monotony. I consider that my strengths are patience, that I feel very comfortable interacting with children of all ages, I can easily adapt to any situation, the love with which I do things, the empathy and respect that I have for the children. I know I have the ability to make this year the best for me and for the host family, so I look forward to live this experience.

I am First Aid Certified. I babysat Gabriela (4) from February 2021 to April 2023 on weekends. My responsibilities included helping with her homework, tidying up all her things, giving her meals, playing, and getting her ready for bed. I babysat Samantha (10mths) from January to July 2024. My responsibilities included preparing and giving her snacks, giving her a bottle of milk, changing diapers, bathing her, dressing her, doing different activities like stimulation for babies and games with her. I was a dance teacher from March 2022 to May 2024 teaching children ages 6 to 10 years old. I taught dance and did various activities with them. Lastly, I looked after Nicole (10) from March to September 2023. I picked her up from school, fed her, helped with homework, organized her room, watched movies with her and did hair and makeup with her.

I want and desire to participate in the Au Pair exchange program in the United States of America because I believe I'm someone who easily adapts to a new environment. I have always loved children and enjoy learning from them, as well as imparting something beautiful to them. In my experience over the years with childcare, everything has been a learning opportunity and has helped me grow as a person. Giving and receiving love from them has been wonderful and comforting for me. I've always been interested in the culture of its beautiful country. I see the opportunity to improve my English at there, and also learn about different ways of life and customs, also like the idea of make friends from other cultures. It catches my attention to be able to celebrate important dates like Thanksgiving, Christmas, the 4th of July and others.

From 07/2013 to 03/2017 I cared for Arin (2) and Eric (newborn) 0 for 9 hours a day, 2 days a week. I would help to care for them, give showers, prepare meals, story telling and exercise. From 04/2020 to 04/2021 I cared for a group of children age 1 to 12 for 4 hours a week. I would teach science and math. From 11/2021 to 06/2022 I cared for a group of students ages 7 to 15 for 3 hours a day. I would teach them math and English. From 05/2022 to 03/2023 I cared for a group of students ages 16 to 18 for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I would teach them biology and was their homeroom teacher.

Before I start studying, I would like to improve my language and cultural skills, so I would like to combine this year with the adventure of being an au pair. I love to be surrounded by children.
