Child Care Experience
From February 2022 to present, I work at Norlandia Kindergartens with a group of children from 2 to 7 years of age. I entertain the children, put them down for naps, lead field trips, and take care of their emotional and physical needs. From February 2022 to August 2022, I worked at Norlandia Kindergartens with a group of 5 to 7 year old's. I entertained the children, put them down for naps, took the children on field trips, and took care of their emotional and physical needs. From August to December 2023, I took care of a group of 7 year old's. I worked as a substitute teacher in Laukaa's elementary school. From May 2021 to July 2022, I took care of Ohto (2), Vilho (4) and Sisu (7). I provided childcare through my 4H company. From March 2018 to June 2019, I worked with a group of children from 4 to 13 years of age. I taught how to care for horses to the children.

I am applying to this program because I really want to experience a new culture and take care of children. Right now I am figuring out what I want to do with my life and I believe that spending at least a year abroad will help me. I think that I am an excellent participant. I have worked with so many different children and all of them have taught me important lessons which make me the kind and caring person that I am today. The best compliment that child has given to me is that they feel safe around me. That is the most important thing to me. I am also a perfect participant because I assimilate easily in to new situations. Assimilating quickly is definitely one of my strengths. I am also good at figuring out creative solutions in everyday life. I've found that to be very helpful with kids because situations almost never go as perfectly as you have planned:).
