Why to choose an Au Pair from Latvia?
- Hard-working. Our winters are cold, for 6 months of the year it is actually snowing or raining here. However, winners have to think ahead and be prepared for both easy and hard times. We are good at planning and improvising as well.
- Open-minded. The landscape is flat in Latvia, so we look far, we look wide and we don't like our vision to be hampered by anything closer than the horizon. We don't always smile but when we do, it comes from the heart!

From 02/2024 to 12/2024 I cared for Juan (7) and Celeste (1) for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. I receive the children from school, I help them with school activities, I serve them food, I take Juan to soccer practice. Child Care Experience
From May 2020 to September 2021, I took care of Blas (7), Marc (5) and baby twins Rita and Cora (1) during the summer. I took care of the children, played, did crafts, helped with schoolwork, assisted with household shores, changed diapers, taught the babies to walk, worked on motor skills, gave baths, prepared dinner, prepared bottles, and put the children to bed. From September 2019 to June 2020, I worked as a teacher for a class of 24 students from 5 to 8 years of age. I provided personalized education, promoted critical thinking, creativity, independent learning, created and inclusive and respectful environment, supported the students overall well being, worked closely with their families and designed activities that stimulated curiosity and a love for learning. From January 2027 to December 2020 I helped take care of a group 60 children from 3 to 17 years of age, every Saturday during the school year and during the summers. My main reason for becoming an au pair is to improve my English and embrace new experiences and explore different parts of the world. Why do I consider myself qualified to participate in this program? First, I would describe myself as a responsible person who is also fun and easygoing. I have been teaching English at an institute since 2021, and the experience has given me valuable insights into working with children of various ages. In addition to my teaching experience, I have also babysat my friends’ children on several occasions. When I meet up with my friends, their kids often want to spend time with me, and I usually end up playing with them more than talking with my friends!
