Between August and November 2023, I cared for Shirui (1). My responsibilities were making milk powder for him, teaching him some simple words, putting to bed, supervising him to play, changing diapers, and playing with toys. Between September 2022 and February 2023, I cared for Ziyan (11). My responsibilities were tutoring, homework, teaching English, and writing. Between September 2019 and June 2020, I worked at an art institution taking care of children ages 3-12 years old. My responsibilities were giving art lessons to children, playing learning activities with them, supervising playing, giving feedback to parents.

Firstly because I really enjoy sharing my time with children and I would like to be an au pair because I love the idea of caring for and helping in the development of children while having the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture and improve my command of the English language. I really like spending my time with children because that way you can be authentic all the time, I know that I can be myself, I love learning from them and that they learn from me. One of the things I like to do with them the most is to explore their creativity, since children have a beautiful mind, I think it's what I like most about them, I enjoy seeing how far they are able to go by developing their personality. That's why I would like to be an AuPair, because I think it's a very gentle program to get to know the world and develop myself in the things I like to do the most. I want to participate in this project to see a wider world and improve my English proficiency. During my university years, my major was English, and I was able to engage in basic communication. As the youngest child in my family, I have been helping my brothers and sisters take care of their children since childhood. I have extensive experience in taking care of children. I select the Au Pair program is a fabulous opportunity to interact with children. I think that the education of children is very important and in caring for them you need love, responsibility, vocation and feeling with them. I would like to be an Au Pair because I want to interact and get to know American culture and I can do what I like the most, which is to accompany the children in their discovery through life, study and travel. I believe are of great importance the way of acting with children in addition to being that person with whom they feel safe to be able to express themselves and at the same time we with them to be that guide and companion so that they discover and develop in total communion with themselves and with the environment that surrounds them.
