I babysat Murilo (6) and Elisa (3mths) from October 2019 to March 2022. I prepared the older one for school, played, walked and spent time with the baby during the day and put her down for naps. I babysat Theo (3mthsZ) and Joao (newborn) from February 2016 until February 2024. I prepared meals, played with them, took them out for walks, and put them to bed at night. Lastly, I volunteered from March 2022 to November 2023 once a week taking care of a group of children ages 3 to 6 years old. I decided to be an au pair because I really like children. I would also like to improve my English and I want to get to know American culture. This is my dream! There are many qualities that are important for a successful Au Pair, but some that I consider most important include being patient, flexible and adaptable. We work with children of all ages, so it is important to know how to adapt to different situations and be patient when things don't go as planned. Being flexible is also essential, as sometimes we will have to change our schedules or plans. Having a positive attitude and willingness to learn new things will also help a lot. In addition to being a calm, careful, creative, caring person, easily adaptable and responsible in everything I do.

I really like being with children and I ever joined the summer work and travel program before, I worked at an amusement park, I saw a lot of kids and their parents all the time, I was touched by their loving and caring atmosphere.
