Most students enroll at a university as well.
Communication and Language Skills
The official language of Great Britain is English. However, there are also many regional languages and dialects spoken in the different regions of the country. There are also many different languages spoken in cities by immigrant citizens.

First of all, becoming an au pair exchange program participant in the USA is the opportunity to keep on working with children since that is what I like the most. Also, because I want to improve my English oral skills, visit new places, learn about a new culture and share my own with my host family. Secondly, I consider I am responsible, independent, attentive, honest, empathic, hardworking and lovely. All those personaly traits are bland skills I can use for taking care of the children and making of this experience the best one ever. Furthermore, all my knowledge and the experience working with children as a nurse assistant is the most valuable strength I have for assiting the children in any urgency or emergency. Also, I know how to give First Aid Assistance in any unexpected situation.

I prepared his breakfast, helped with his morning routine, and engaged him in games and activities such as painting, reading, singing, dancing, baking cookies and desserts. I also served him lunch and took him to the park in the afternoons. I cared for Mariam Lizeth, 1 year old, from October 2023 to May 2024. I prepared her bottle, bathed her, changed her diaper, prepared her lunch, and did activities to stimulate her to take her first steps. I really love Children! I think they show you how colourfull this world actually is and not so dark and grey… just like we see the world. Children are also so full of love and kindness. They show you love in a way how nobody else will ever do. That‘s why I want to be an au pair. I am a very open minded person and extrovert. I think my greatest strength is that I'm very empathetic and can put myself in other people's feelings very, very well. I would say that I have great emotional intelligence. I'm also a very good communicator. I love talking about my feelings and always try to explain to others—for example, during an argument—what feelings it triggered in me and why I reacted that way. At the same time, I try to understand why the person across from me reacted that way. I also try to teach this to the children in kindergarten.

From February 2022 to April 2023, I took care of Juan (7) for eleven hours every Saturday. I accompanied the child to soccer lessons, prepared lunch, helped with homework, played and accompanied the child to the pool. From November 2021 to January 2022, I took care of Salmoe (4). I prepared snacks, played and practiced numbers, vowels and the alphabet with the child.

* First AID*** The Au Pair program is a great way to combine two things I love: discovering new cultures and caring for children. I’ve always had a natural connection with kids. As the eldest of a large and blended family, I helped raise my siblings, which taught me patience, kindness, and responsibility. I also worked as a babysitter, learning to adapt and build trust with each child. I’m part of the French Gendarmerie Reserve, which helped me become more mature, disciplined, and reliable qualities I believe are essential for this role. For me, being an au pair means growing as a person while sharing meaningful moments with a host family.
