Find a Spanish-Speaking Au Pair for Your Family
The best time to learn a language is when you’re young. Children have a natural adaptability — they can pick up on and mimic accents much better than adults and they’re open to learning without fear. They attempt the right words and if they don’t get them, they try again next time.
If you want your child to learn a foreign language, often the best way to do it is through interaction. Children learn best when they experience something, and being immersed in a new language could be the smartest way to teach your little one something new.
Spanish is an excellent choice. Millions of people in the United States speak this vibrant Latin language. As our country becomes more culturally diverse, knowing Spanish can be a valuable life skill.
Help your children learn to speak the language by finding a Spanish-speaking au pair. While this is an English-speaking program (so English must be the main spoken language at home), you may ask your au pair to speak her native language when caring for the children, and for families with school-age children an au pair can also help with homework for their language class. When you bring an au pair into your home, you get someone who will interact with your kids on a daily basis. A Spanish-speaking live-in nanny will help your children learn naturally. Instead of forcing them into a classroom setting to do their language studies, you can simply send them off to the library, museum or even a park.
When your Spanish-speaking au pair talks to your kids, they will gradually pick up the language.

I have been following the trajectory of childcare for a long time, which I find very important. Three years ago, I decided to start working in a childcare institution to gain more experience in the various stages of child-rearing and education that can be provided to a child. I consider myself a very proactive person who enjoys working as part of a team with the goal of achieving positive results in the program. I believe that with my skills in this field, I could do an exceptional job. For this reason, I would love to be an au pair and experience what the program has to offer.

I'd like to become an au pair for many reasons. First because I love children and everything that includes their care, their attitude, their thoughts and their way of seeing the world, second because my personality combines with that of children, I like creativity, fun and happiness. I consider myself qualified to participate in EurAupair due to the experience I have in caring for children in different aspects, both in the family, in daycare centers and in children's amusement parks. All this experience complements me very well to be able to continue taking care of children and give them all my love, affection and security so that they grow and feel in an environment full of love and values. I also want to be an aupair to learn new things about American culture, its traditions and behaviors. And transmit and make known my Colombian culture, my tastes and my love for my country.

I have always been great with kids. Every place I visited, if there was a kid, we became best friends. I have a natural ability to create meaningful connections with them. Listening to their interests, their curious way to see the world and occurrences seems to me like an opportunity to reconnect with the simplicity of things. Through stories, games, crafts, and songs, I reconnect with my most human, playful, and artistic side, and I think that's beautiful because sometimes the answers to adult life are there. Also, I love to meet different people and learn about cultures, traditions, languages, and idiosyncrasies as much as I enjoy share mine. I truly believe that: sharing is caring. I have high adaptive capacity, and I am enthusiastic about tackling new challenges with a “can-do” attitude.
