I worked at a school from September to October 2018 taking care of children ages 4 to 5 years old for 30 hours a week. I would give food, play, and help with activities. From 01/2020 to 06/2020 I cared for multiple children ages 6 months to 1 year for 20 hour per week. I would put them to sleep, help them with activities and feed them. From 09/2023 to 10/2023 I cared for Joao and Ana (3-5) for 45 hours a week. I was responsible for the cooking, bathing, taking to school, helping with homework and some daily household chores

I would like to be an Au Pair to improve my English, spend more time and help with children's education, live for a long period of time in the USA, learn more about another culture and teach a little about my culture, get to know new places and people , be a little more independent. I consider myself qualified for the program because I am a communicative, responsible, mature person, capable of dealing with challenges and unforeseen situations that may arise during the period as an au pair, in addition to having experience with different ages and number of children.

From February 2023 to January 2024, I cared for Geovanna (12), Maria Eduarda (7) and Alice (4). My responsibilities included: preparing breakfast or lunch, taking and picking up two of them from school, helping with homework, bathing. With the youngest at home, we always did activities like coloring, playing with slime, dolls and many other games. I cared for Henrique (8 months) from October 2015 to May 2016. I helped his mother with daily activities such as bathing, helping to prepare food and feed him, changing his diaper and putting him to sleep. Additionally, I cared for Lune (10 months) from November 2018 to August 2024. I was responsible for her routine care, such as bathing, grooming, feeding, taking for walks and playing.

I wish to participate in the Au Pair program as the program is an enriching opportunity for cultural immersion and personal growth. I'm excited to discover a new culture, improve my English and get to know a new country. I am fully qualified for the program as I have a lot of experience with children of different ages and personalities, these experiences have provided me with skills to deal with children ensuring their safety, well-being and entertainment. I am a patient, understanding and fun person, I am a great cook. I'm a great teacher because I've always helped my cousins with their school activities. I babysat Murilo (6) and Elisa (3mths) from October 2019 to March 2022. I prepared the older one for school, played, walked and spent time with the baby during the day and put her down for naps. I babysat Theo (3mthsZ) and Joao (newborn) from February 2016 until February 2024. I prepared meals, played with them, took them out for walks, and put them to bed at night. Lastly, I volunteered from March 2022 to November 2023 once a week taking care of a group of children ages 3 to 6 years old. I did story time with the children, played games and did educational activities with them, as well as arts and crafts and conversation circles.

I decided to be an au pair because I really like children. I would also like to improve my English and I want to get to know American culture. This is my dream! There are many qualities that are important for a successful Au Pair, but some that I consider most important include being patient, flexible and adaptable. We work with children of all ages, so it is important to know how to adapt to different situations and be patient when things don't go as planned. Being flexible is also essential, as sometimes we will have to change our schedules or plans. Having a positive attitude and willingness to learn new things will also help a lot. In addition to being a calm, careful, creative, caring person, easily adaptable and responsible in everything I do.

I have always loved the idea of working with children while also having the opportunity to travel around the United States, as it combines two of my greatest passions. Spending time with children brings me so much joy, and I feel confident in my ability to take care of them since I already have experience in doing so.
