I have always loved the idea of working with children while also having the opportunity to travel around the United States, as it combines two of my greatest passions. Spending time with children brings me so much joy, and I feel confident in my ability to take care of them since I already have experience in doing so. From July to August 2023, I took care of several children from 6 to 12 years of age for a holiday program. I prepared food, played, organized group meetings and did sports with the children. First of all, I love travelling. When I was younger, my family and I visited a lot of German cities. We also hiked in Austria, went camping in France or sightseeing in Belgium and visited my grand-parents in Florida or explored New York. Apart from travelling, I love working with children. In the last years, I was teamleader in various holiday programs where we organized, par example treasure hunts, water games or craft sessions. Last year, I did an internship at an so-called 'early intervention centre', where we help children with specific needs. And therefore a year as an au pair seemed perfect for me.

I would guide the children to carry out the activities, read stories to the children, teach them to read, and do group activities out of the classroom. One of my biggest dreams is to travel through the world, and meet different places and different cultures, and I can do that with this program. I wanted to go to countries like U.S.A, France, Spain, and others, so when I discovered this program, I saw an opportunity that I should take to make my dream come true. I want to improve my level of English too, and I think that there's no better way to learn it that practicing with native speakers.

I want to be an au pair because with children I can exploit my creativity and my imagination in every activity we do, it is nice that a child gives you the confidence to show you their passions and help them solve each challenge so they can shape their character, emotions and personalities in the best way. I have experience with children of different ages, and I have been able to learn how to handle difficult situations. Likewise, I have also taught groups of children with games where they develop great skills. This has helped me to be more mature and empathetic, in addition to knowing that children are growing, so we must be patient and lovely with them. I ensured the child was following a structures daily routine, prepared breakfast, got child ready for school, engaged in educational activities, accompanied child to extracurricular activities and took care of the child until the parents returned home.

I am interested in participating in this program to learn about other cultures and make mine known, meet other people. I like children and I feel more than qualified to work with them, taking care of them, teaching them about my country and culture. Teaching them values and learning hundreds of things, living the experience with them would be an honor, they would learn as much from me as I do from them. I know how to cook delicious dishes to them, I love spending time with them, and I would like to apply my experience to new horizons. I took care of Sophia, who is 5 years old, from March 2024 to December 2024, on weekdays when she was at school. I provided support to her to complete tasks at school and analyzed and proposed adjustments to teaching and assessment methods to help her better interpret instructions. Additionally, I provided anticipation of activities and routines to help Sophia perform them independently and with confidence. From January 2021 to March 2022, I took care of Alejo Benjamin, who was 1 year and 4 months old, on weekends. I gave him dinner, did creative activities with him, and got him ready for bed. From January 2020 to December 2024, I cared for Clementina and Irupé, who were 3 to 5 years old, during summer vacation. I helped them get up, change, and prepared breakfast.
