From 09/2022 to 01/2023 I cared for Dulce (4) and Pablo (8) for 6 hours a day, 3 days a week. I always dreamed of taking a gap year in the USA after school. For a few years now I had the idea of becoming an AuPair. I think it is a great option for me, because I love children and can live in a different country with the comfort of a family around me. I feel like what would make me a good AuPair is, for one my passion when it comes to children. I always have so much fun with them and it warms my heart, when I make them laugh or they can learn something from me. For second, a great quality of mine is definitely my patience. When it comes to children it often doesn’t work the way you wanted it to, because children don’t always act as you wish. It is very important in those situations to keep calm and don’t put any pressure on the children or on yourself.

From June to present, I volunteer in a children's holiday program with children from 6 to 12 years of age. I supervise the children and do painting and crafting with the children. From March 2023 to September 2024, I took care of Lotta (1) for one to two times per week.
