Child Care Experience
I did an internship at an elementary school in November 2021 and in June 2022 taking care of children ages 6 to 11 years old. I assisted them with school work, supervised recess, played with the children, did conflict resolution if needed, and helped the children maintain good hygiene. I've looked after my cousin (2) since September 2023. I play with the child and prepare meals. I've assisted with a children's school choir since January 2023. I help with their appearance, keep them calm, listen and give tips with singing and playing their instruments, help with reading notes, and encourage them.

I want to become an Au Pair because I‘ve always been fascinated by the USA. From the movies, the history and holidays everything fascinates me. Which is why it’s been my dream from a very young age to experience the American life. But also working with children is a dream for me. I love working with kids and teenagers, which is why I want to become a teacher later and being an Au Pair is both dreams combined. I think I‘m qualified to participate in the program because being with people makes me complete. My strengths are that I never get bored and I can laugh at myself, but also that I can be very compassionate.
Child Care Experience
From May 2023 to present, I take care of Lennard (3) and Lily (7) every three weeks. I care for the children, change diapers, prepare food and help change their clothes. From June 2023 to present, I take care of Louise (2) for four hours, once a month. I play, prepare food and do activities with the child. From December 2021 to October 2022, I took care of Joanna (1) and Leevke (2) twice a week. I played with the children in the house and in the garden, helped the children get dressed, prepared food, read books and put the children to sleep.

I've been caring for Nia (1) since July 2023. I take her to the playground and play with her. I am first aid certified. I have experience in caring for children with special needs. I cared for Emiliya every other weekend from January to June 2023. My responsibilities were preparing meals, playing with her and putting her to bed. I also cared for Lea (11), Mia (9) and Niklas (11) every other weekend for 3 months in 2023. I prepared meals and put them to bed. Between March and July 2023, I cared for Mira (10). I helped with homework and played with her. Lastly, in 2021, I watched Daniel (11). I cooked for him, helped with homework and swimming.

From April 2023, I have occasionally taken care of Cataleya (1). I prepare food, play, and put child to sleep. From July to August 2023, I took care of several children from 6 to 12 years of age for a holiday program. I prepared food, played, organized group meetings and did sports with the children. From the 17th to the 28th of April 2023, I took care of several children from 2 to 6 years of age. I played with the children, talked with and taught the children.

First of all, I love travelling. When I was younger, my family and I visited a lot of German cities. We also hiked in Austria, went camping in France or sightseeing in Belgium and visited my grand-parents in Florida or explored New York. Apart from travelling, I love working with children. In the last years, I was teamleader in various holiday programs where we organized, par example treasure hunts, water games or craft sessions. Last year, I did an internship at an so-called 'early intervention centre', where we help children with specific needs. And therefore a year as an au pair seemed perfect for me.

From June to present, I volunteer in a children's holiday program with children from 6 to 12 years of age. I supervise the children and do painting and crafting with the children. From March 2023 to September 2024, I took care of Lotta (1) for one to two times per week. I prepared meals, played, took child for walks, went to the playground and to the local farm where the child's father is working. From August 2023 to February 2024, I took care of Nino (1) for two to four times per week. I prepared meals, played and put child to sleep.

I enjoy reading, cooking just like baking, and pilates, in which I participate once or two times a week in a sports community at home. Above all, I am an outgoing person who really enjoys travelling and adventures. I really enjoy Pilates together with my best friend. In my early childhood, I participated in gymnastics and dancing, which I had to cancel through my schedule in school.

I am also excited about the opportunity to learn more about American culture and traditions, like the forth of july and especially about Thanksgiving which is not implemented and celebrated here, while sharing my own cultural background with your family. I believe that this cultural exchange will be enriching for both of us and will help foster mutual understanding and respect. I am the eldest of three children as well as many cousins, which has given me firsthand experience in caring for and managing the needs of younger siblings. I am 23 years now and my Dream is to be an au pair in the USA for a Long Time. I love to work with children teenagers and babies. I am qualified for this program because I grew up in a large family and did a nurse Training so I am perfect to take care for children.

The main reason [I want to become an au pair] is that I love working with children, looking after them and doing things with them, this is a lot of fun for me. Since I was younger, I started going to kindergarten with my mother, who works there. I also really like getting to know new cultures and countries.

From 12/2022 to 03/2023 I cared for Annabell (16) 3 times a week. I was her math tutor. In October 2024 I spent 5 days caring for child ages 1 to 7. I would support with everyday tasks in the daycare center, help the children to learn how to eat, do creative activities with the children. I want to become an Au Pair because I enjoy working with children, helping them learn new things, grow and gain new experiences. I would like to spend an AuPair year in the USA because I think it’s a great opportunity to discover new countries and meet new people. I really enjoy working with children, and being able to make them laugh through activities, for example, excites me. Helping them on their path in life and supporting them with homework or other everyday tasks is a rewarding experience that I enjoy and want to continue having.
