Find a French Speaking Au Pair With EurAupair
EurAupair began sponsoring au pairs for the United States from European countries more than 25 years ago. We have the legal designation from the U.S. Department of State and the experience to help you find the right au pair for your family. We place au pairs from five different continents now, but European au pairs remain at the heart of our program.
All of our au pairs we place in the U.S. speak English, but for many, it is not their native language. Immersion in an English-speaking culture improves their language skills, although EurAupair screens au pairs to be sure their level of English is appropriate and will allow them to be functional on their very first day in the U.S. Our objective evaluation of the au pair’s English is provided to you as part of their application package, and you get a chance to interview your au pair prior to placing with her in order to ensure her English level matches your expectations.
Language is just one area where EurAupair provides screening and support for au pairs and families. We understand the cultures our au pairs come from, and we work hard to bridge those gaps so everyone’s experience is a good one.
We tell families that hosting an au pair is like adding another person to their family. At EurAupair, we consider ourselves part of that family, as well. We are committed to enriching the au pair experience for everyone involved in any ways we can.
Benefits of a French-Speaking Au Pair
Language is one of the exciting parts of the cultural exchange between au pairs and their host families. While au pairs strive to improve their English, they share some of their native language with the families they live with. Hosting a French-speaking au pair, for example, can offer several benefits:
- If your children are studying French in school, an au pair who can rehearse their lessons with them can accelerate their fluency. Most school language programs incorporate some cultural learning, too. What better way to learn about French culture than living with an au pair from France?
- French cuisine is always popular in the U.S., especially in upscale restaurants. Many menus are written in French and can be difficult for a non-French speaker to decipher. The language skills you could pick up from a French-speaking au pair could even enhance your next trip to a popular French restaurant.
A French-speaking au pair for the United States in not an unusual request. Some families looking for a French-speaking, live-in nanny actually end up hosting an au pair instead. With the emphasis on cultural exchange in the au pair program, most families feel they get more out of this child care option.
Trust EurAupair for the Best Au Pair Experience
EurAupair works hard to ensure families and au pairs have the best experience as possible, and it’s quite likely lifelong friendships form from the au pair experience. If you’re ready to provide the opportunity of a lifetime for your kids and for an au pair, contact EurAupair today.

I have a deep passion for American culture, particularly its language, music, appeal, and landscapes. Caring for children aged 4 to 13 has strengthened my commitment to their well-being and education. I've introduced children to various activities, such as new sports, music genres, cuisines… My top priority has always been children's safety, and I've developed conflict resolution skills. These experiences have allowed me to form meaningful connections with the children I've cared for. That's why I feel qualified to participate in the EurAuPair program. Also, I easily adapt to new environments, having traveled alone across Europe as soon as i turned 18. While my English skills are a work in progress, I'm eager to become an au pair to develop them. This experience is a chance to improve my English and prepare my future career as a flight attendant.

* First AID*** The Au Pair program is a great way to combine two things I love: discovering new cultures and caring for children. I’ve always had a natural connection with kids. As the eldest of a large and blended family, I helped raise my siblings, which taught me patience, kindness, and responsibility. I also worked as a babysitter, learning to adapt and build trust with each child. I’m part of the French Gendarmerie Reserve, which helped me become more mature, disciplined, and reliable qualities I believe are essential for this role. For me, being an au pair means growing as a person while sharing meaningful moments with a host family.

Child Care Experience
During the month of August 2025, I helped out at a day camp with children from 6 to 11 years of age. From August 2022 to June 2025, I occasionally took care of Lenny (6 months) and Myla (4) during the weekend and during holidays. I gave baths, prepared dinner and supervised the children. From July 2018 to August 2023, I occasionally took care of Roy (5) and Lindsey (6) during school holidays. I prepared meals, went for walks to the park and gave baths.

Since I was little, I have always dreamed of going to the United States. I've always had this thing for traveling, discovering new places, new cultures, meeting different people. I love children, I thought to myself: why not combine the two? I am a cheerful person, always in a good mood, very attentive, and I adapt easily. Whether it's a new culture, a new way of life, or just a different routine, I'm ready to get into it. I am also quite organized and I really want to learn. For the past three years, I have also been coaching children in handball every Saturday morning. Coaching has taught me to combine sports, teamwork, and fun. I have my BAFA, a French childcare certificate

I want to become an au pair in the USA to improve my English and experience American culture. I love working with children, and this program is a great opportunity to learn while doing what I enjoy. I have completed internships in a daycare and preschool. I also have my BAFA (childcare diploma), have worked in holiday camps, and done babysitting. What makes me the ideal candidate is my solid experience with children and my sense of responsibility. I have been working since I was 14 and was a manager at McDonald’s for 2 years. People describe me as a positive and sunny person. I’m excited to join a host family and share great memories.
