All of our au pairs we place in the U.S. speak English, but for many, it is not their native language. Immersion in an English-speaking culture improves their language skills, although EurAupair screens au pairs to be sure their level of English is appropriate and will allow them to be functional on their very first day in the U.S. Our objective evaluation of the au pair’s English is provided to you as part of their application package, and you get a chance to interview your au pair prior to placing with her in order to ensure her English level matches your expectations.

I took care of a preschool class (ages 3 to 4) from October 2025 to the present, where my responsibilities included organizing activities, supervising nap time, feeding meals, and managing the children during recess. I cared for Timeo (ages 2 to 6) and Lucas (ages 4 months to 3 years) from September 2019 to August 2023 doing activities with them, bathing them, and feeding them. I worked with a group of children (ages 3 to 5) from September 2015 to July 2016, helping with crafts, assisting with feeding, putting the children to bed, supporting the childcare provider, and playing with them. I also completed a nursery internship with children aged 6 months to 3 years from November to December 2025, where I fed the children, organized activities, and changed diapers.
