All of our au pairs we place in the U.S. speak English, but for many, it is not their native language. Immersion in an English-speaking culture improves their language skills, although EurAupair screens au pairs to be sure their level of English is appropriate and will allow them to be functional on their very first day in the U.S. Our objective evaluation of the au pair’s English is provided to you as part of their application package, and you get a chance to interview your au pair prior to placing with her in order to ensure her English level matches your expectations.

**I am willing to take care of children ages 2 yeas and older.** In July 2023, I cared for a group of children aged between 6 and 10 years old. I was their animator. From June 2019 to September 2023, I cared for Charlie (1). We played together, we went for walks, I bathed her and I prepared some activities. From September 2022 to July 2023, I cared for Arwenn (13) and Gabriel (10). I helped with their homework and took care of them.

I have a deep passion for American culture, particularly its language, music, appeal, and landscapes. Caring for children aged 4 to 13 has strengthened my commitment to their well-being and education. I've introduced children to various activities, such as new sports, music genres, cuisines… My top priority has always been children's safety, and I've developed conflict resolution skills. These experiences have allowed me to form meaningful connections with the children I've cared for. That's why I feel qualified to participate in the EurAuPair program. I'm passionate about working with children. I love spending time with them, sharing important moments, being part of their learning journey and giving them lots of love. I have a lot of experience with them, especially with toddlers and babies. I am first-aid certified. I want to become an Au Pair not only to take care of children but also to learn about American culture, including sports, traditions, and a new lifestyle, while integrating into a new family. For me becoming an au pair is an important and motivating experience. Indeed, this experience would allow me to improve my English level which is one of the main reasons why I want to participate. But it is not the only reason ! Be living this experience, I would like to immerse myself in new cultures, learn new customs and traditions that are unknown to me so far, while expanding my knowledge. Additionally, I am excited about creating unforgettable memories that I will cherish for a lifetime, as well as meeting new people and forming bonds that I hope will last well beyond this experience. From January 2016 to February 2025, I occasionally took care of Loise (6) and Gabin (7) when their parents were at work. I helped with homework, prepared food, supervised the children, drove the children to activities, played board games and Playmobile, took the children shopping and to the cinema and put the children to sleep. From July 2022 to October 2024, I took care of Hugo (7) and Alice (2) during school vacations. I helped with homework, played board games, prepared breakfast and lunch and tidied up the kitchen. During winter break in December 2024, I helped out in a Day camp with children from 12 to 17 years of age. I did activities and crafts with the children and helped with daily life and activities. For a week in April 2024, I helped out at a children's camp center with a group of children from 3 to 5 years of age. I woke up the children, helped with breakfast, did activities, crafted with the children, did reading with the children, played outside, assisted with snacks, played dress-up with the children, cooked with the children, and took the children to the farm and to the pool. From March 2020 to March 2025, I took care of Lila (3) and Camille (15) several days per year. I played with the children, did dishes, assisted with laundry and helped with daily tasks.

From September to October 2024, I occasionally took care of Robin (9). I prepared meals, helped with homework, prepared snacks and did afternoon activities with the child.

Along with being a big sister with a brother 11 years younger, I also hold the BAFA, a recognized diploma for childcare, and have worked in a daycare center. Thanks to my training and experience, I have developed essential skills such as patience, creativity and listening. I enjoy accompanying children in their daily lives, teaching them new things and contributing to their development in a caring way. I'd also love to experience the great American holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving, decorating the house with my family and preparing meals together for these special occasions. For me, being an au pair is about supporting the child on a daily basis, like a big sister, in the simplest way possible, and it’s a role that suits me perfectly. I truly care about helping kids grow, and for me, being an au pair is much more than just a job. I love making them laugh, playing with them, and doing simple activities that add to their well-being. Living with a family is also a big plus because it allows you to build strong bonds, like being part of the family. I see it as a big sister role — something I naturally do with my own siblings, especially my 6-year-old sister. I've worked in elementary and middle schools, which truly confirmed my desire to work with young people; I enjoyed listening to them, encouraging them, and even offering advice when they needed someone to talk to.
