We have the legal designation from the U.S. Department of State and the experience to help you find the right au pair for your family. All of our au pairs we place in the U.S. speak English, but for many, it is not their native language. Immersion in an English-speaking culture improves their language skills, although EurAupair screens au pairs to be sure their level of English is appropriate and will allow them to be functional on their very first day in the U.S. Our objective evaluation of the au pair’s English is provided to you as part of their application package, and you get a chance to interview your au pair prior to placing with her in order to ensure her English level matches your expectations.

Child Care Experience
From February to April 2026, I took care of a group of children from 3 to 13 years of age on Wednesdays and during school breaks. I distributed snacks, supervised nap time, did activities with the children and supervised recess time. From March to November 2025, I took care of Lywen (9) and Albane (5) during school breaks and on the weekends. I prepared meals, assisted with bath time, and played games with the children. During the month of June 2024, I did a one-week internship with a group of children in 4th and 5th grade. I assisted the teacher in the classroom and helped manage the students. From July 2023 to February 2026, I took care of Sacha (3) during school breaks and on the weekends. I took the child on outings and played games with the child.

Since I was little, I like taking care of children. Every time there are children, such as family meals or holidays, I spend my time with them and I like to be with them. I have always liked to play, chat and do activities to see them having fun. For me, seeing happy children is the most beautiful reward. I appreciate the more responsible part of taking care of them : meals, bedtime, helping them with hygiene and homeworks. I like to ensure their well-being and development. I find children fascinating because they are curious, spontaneous and full of energy. I also chose to volunteer in a day camp center and even interned in a school. In July 2024 I cared for children ages 3-10 for 50 hours a week. My responsibilities included facilitate kids' group and do activities with them. In September 2024 I cared for 4 year olds on occasion. My responsibilities included supervising a group of children, creating activities based on a theme, reading stories and teaching the kids songs. In November 2025 I cared for children ages 12-13. My responsibilities included leading a catechism class and explaining the Bible.

From January 2024 to March 2026 (ongoing), I have taken care of Louise (10) in the evening and during school break. I organize activities and prepare meals. From September 2023 to April 2026, I took care of Joanne (10) in the evenings and on the weekends. I did activities with the child at the home, took the child to sports practice and helped with homework. From February 2024 to March 2026, I took care of Lili (10) often. I did activities, prepared meals and helped with housekeeping. During the month of June 2024, I did a two-week day camp internship with a group of children from 3 to 11 years of age. I created activities for the children, supervised the children in the yard and in the center and did light cleaning.

In August 2025 I cared for children ages 4 to 11 at a wedding. My responsibilities included supervising a group of kids during a wedding, playing with them and doing activities. From 009/2023 to 04/2024 I cared for Colynn (7) 4 days a week, a couple hours a day. My responsibilities included dressing time, feeding him breakfast, taking him to and from school, playing board games, doing creative games, etc., giving him a snack, and helping with homework. In July 2025 I cared for Sarah (6) 4 days a week. My responsibilities included: feeding her breakfast, dressing time, assisting with summer homework, playing indoor games, doing outdoor games, going to the park, going on walks, doing crafts (painting, drawing, scrapbooking...), and reading.

Becoming an au pair is a wonderful opportunity for me to combine my desire to experience a new culture and improve my English, all while doing something I truly love: taking care of children. I want to participate in shared moments with my host family like preparing the Thanksgiving meal. I would like to create memories with the children like preparing to go trick-or treating for Halloween or go watch a football match.
